Did You Know?

For our friends in Zone 6, now is the time to begin growing beets, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, lettuce, onions, peas, peppers, spinach, and tomatoes indoors.

Other Zone 6 gardening tasks this month:

🪰 Clear leftover debris from garden beds to prevent pests and disease.
🍊 Prune berry bushes, fruit trees, and woody ornamentals before spring growth begins.
🧪 Get your soil tested to ensure it’s ready for planting.
🌼 Direct-sow cold-hardy flowers outdoors such as larkspur, nigella, and poppies.
🍓 As the month ends, pull back mulch from asparagus and strawberry beds to prepare for new growth.
